I GUESS I’ll head back to Atlanta now. This week was nothing short of amazing! Having a chance to be a part of the presenting team at the @SDE4Educators National Conference was such an honor! Vegas owes me not one thing! #SDEevents #excellenteducator #fridayfeeling #blessed ... See MoreSee Less
I just completed my third and final session. Im in awe at the responses. It was a complete success! I am humbled by the support from everyone on here, the kind things that have been said. It made a difference more than you know! 💚
I have been so comfortable working with just my wonderful Ga Pre-K teachers and child care centers so this has been a huge step outside my comfort zone to train different grade levels and hold my own on a national level.
I got pulled to the side by the SDE program director after my first session, right before lunch and she said...
“Don’t panic but your sessions this afternoon doubled and the last one tripled in our system. We are going to have to open up your room to accommodate 200 people and add a double projectors. We are going to mic you up to a different sound system to fill the bigger space. We don’t know what you’re doing but keep doing it!”
My heart dropped and so did my appetite. All the nerves that dissipated came back full force. Nevertheless I did what I always preach. I got my mind prepared and did what I had to do and took a giant leap outside of my comfort zone yet again.
The session was full and had people on the floor. I got through it and I think I rocked it as promised! The feedback after finishing from teachers and my evaluators had me in tears!
It was my prayer to stand on this platform today and use God’s gifts and do His work and impact dedicated professionals like yourself and I feel certain that I completed that task.
Thank you sooo much for every comment, pep talk, prayer, or thought that was sent my way. I haven’t had time to respond (or breathe) with these back to back groups but I will find time to get back to everyone individually tonight!
